Biography
Adif, the Railway Infrastructure Administrator, is a public business entity under the Ministry of Public Works. Adif plays a leading role in boosting the railway sector, making railways the means of transport par excellence and facilitating access to the infrastructure on equal terms.
Its objective is to promote Spanish rail transport through the development and management of a safe, efficient and environmentally sustainable infrastructure system with high quality standards.
Adif Assumes:
- Railway infrastructure management (tracks, stations, freight terminals, etc.).
- Rail traffic management.
- The allocation of capacity to railway operators.
- The collection of fees for the use of infrastructure, stations and freight terminals.
All of this is based on a commitment to social responsibility towards citizens. Social Responsibility is based on ethical principles related to management and the role of the company in society. Its backbone is transparency and dialogue with stakeholders; and its ultimate aim is to contribute to the sustainability of the development that our activity fosters, from an integral perspective.
