Ground recognition, treatment and improvement. 10th National Symposium on Geotechnical Engineering

SYMPOSIUM-SEMSIG-A-CORUÑAThe Spanish Society of Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (SEMSIG) organises the 10º National Symposium of Geotechnical Engineering on 19, 20 and 21 October 2016 in La Coruña.with the theme of "Land survey, treatment and improvement".

This 10th Congress focuses on the analysis of soil behaviour, its characterisation, how to treat it and how to improve it in order to guarantee the safety of all types of geotechnical works.

As on previous occasions, the SEMSIG is organising the Symposium with the collaboration of the Spanish Society of Rock Mechanics (SEMR) and the Portuguese Society of Geotechnics (SPG), with whom the 5th Portuguese-Spanish Conference on Geotechnics will be organised on 19 October as part of the Symposium, with the aim of continuing scientific and technical collaboration.

Deadline for receipt of communications

Authors are invited to submit papers by sending via the Symposium website: an abstract of about 300 words, indicating: title, author(s) and the topic to which it corresponds.

Deadline for abstract submission: 15 April 2016.

The Scientific Committee of the Symposium will make a selection of the abstracts submitted and will inform the authors of their acceptance before 15 March, indicating the format for the presentation of the final texts.

Deadline for submission of final texts: 15 June 2016.
