The Grupo de Jóvenes Tuneleros (GJT) is made up of professionals under 35 years of age who are members of the Spanish Association of Tunnelling and Underground Works (AETOS). Officially founded on 16 September 2019 in Madrid, Spain.

General Objectives

The general objectives and functions proposed by the Young Tunnelers Group are as follows:

  • Objective O-1: to serve as a meeting point and nexus for young professionals in tunnelling and underground engineering.
  • Objective O-2: contribute to members' specific training in tunnelling and underground engineering.
  • Objective O-3: to constitute the generational relay that will take over from previous generations of tunnelling and underground engineers in Spain.
  • Objective O-4: to raise awareness of the tunnelling and underground engineering profession.
